Special Event

100th Anniversary of the Sinking of the Titanic

Featuring the JACK Quartet and Young Voices of Colorado

Sunday, April 15, 2012, (4:00 p.m.)

This special event performance is a collaboration with the University of Denver’s Newman Center Presents and Historic Denver, owner of the Molly Brown House. Recognizing the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, this special event performance will feature the JACK Quartet, Alarm Will Sound’s Payton MacDonald, and Young Voices of Colorado, performing an arrangement of Gavin Bryars’s The Sinking of the Titanic. MacDonald will also be commissioned to compose a new work in honor of Margaret “Molly” Brown, tentatively entitled Lifeboat No. 6.
