Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009

Friends of Chamber Music is delighted to be opening our 56th season with one of today’s most exciting and innovative chamber music ensembles, The American Chamber Players.

The quintet offers performances with old and new composers, including newly commissioned American works. Their fascinating programs with varied instrumental combinations have been as enthusiastically praised as their extraordinary, dynamic performances. For this concert, the quintet will be joined by soprano Rebecca Turner for a performance of rarely-heard songs by Franz Schubert and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
