Friends of Chamber Music

Paul Lewis

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

Personally recommended to Friends of Chamber Music by Alfred Brendel, Paul Lewis is an award-winning pianist with three Gramophone awards, including 2008 Record of the Year. Joining us from the UK, Lewis will be performing the sublime last three Schubert sonatas. Gramophone described Lewis as "arguably the finest Schubert interpreter of his generation. Time and again, you marvel at the confidence and sureness of Lewis' playing combined with the finesse and musicality that he has always displayed."

Program will include:

Schubert Sonata in C minor, D. 958
Schubert Sonata in A major, D. 959
Schubert Sonata in B-flat major, D. 960
